Biography
Saturnino H. Mejia
Mr. Saturnino Mejia, the current General Manager of the National Development Company (NDC), is a highly seasoned government executive, he brings over three decades of expertise in public sector management, investment promotion, project development, and economic policy.
At the NDC, he has been instrumental in overseeing operations and driving the growth of diverse ventures, including:
• Industrial estates
• Renewable energy and infrastructure projects
• Support for startups
• The country’s first bioethanol plant
Mr. Mejia is a champion of strategic investments that propel national growth, leveraging his extensive background in joint ventures, corporate finance, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). He actively promotes initiatives in health, technology innovation, and key economic sectors including agri-tech ventures such as waste to energy projects.
His leadership also extends to the NDC’s Special Projects Group, where he leads comprehensive viability assessments and due diligence for proposed initiatives to assess their technical, financial and social viability.
Beyond the NDC, his distinguished career includes senior roles at the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Finance, as well as experience with the private sector.
Mr. Mejia holds a Master of Science in Policy Science from Saitama in Japan and a Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University.
